sooke fishing report jan 09

Fishing off sooke ,victoria waterfront for winter chinooks has been very productive fish getting landed anywhere from 5 to 18 pounds . Halibut is still closed but should be opening in the next couple of months . shrimp ,prawns,and crab has been awsome in the surounding areas of sooke and victoria harbours. i havent been fishing in port renfrew lately due to washed out roads .steelhead fishing has also been a good bet this time of year!!!
